The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) is unveiling seven innovative projects at GITEX Global 2023, highlighting the theme of “Leadership in Sustainability and Artificial Intelligence.” These endeavors are strategically designed to further elevate the corporation’s ongoing pursuit of excellence and its pioneering role in digital transformation. They also seek to cultivate proactive services that foster sustainable economic growth within Dubai.
This year, PCFC is focusing on its state-of-the-art digital technologies and solutions, aligning with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI). One of the notable projects is the Remote Inspection Project, a collaborative effort between Dubai Customs and “Dubai South,” aimed at simplifying inspection procedures and expediting operations in line with Dubai’s economic vision.
Additionally, the “Cargo Status Tracking” initiative provides customers with a seamless experience by enabling them to monitor their shipments from arrival to clearance.
The “Post Audit Robotic Process Automation (PCA-RPA)” initiative is a forward-thinking approach to automating customs audit processes through AI-powered robots. The “Zam” program represents an intelligent strategy for optimizing employee shift scheduling based on specialization zones.
Moreover, PCFC is introducing initiatives like “Naham,” a virtual employee capable of independently handling all customer inquiries related to the organization’s services. The “Dubai Sea Project” is a specialized digital portal focusing on maritime entertainment and public services related to the sea, while the “Digital Lighthouse” project facilitates permit issuance for visiting foreign yachts and allows data modifications through the electronic services platform.
