Dubai Crown Prince Announces Appointment of 22 AI Executives in Dubai Government
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has announced the appointment of 22 Chief AI Officers in the Dubai Government.
This move is part of a forward-looking vision aimed at enhancing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve government efficiency and effectiveness.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the appointment of these AI executives marks the first step in realizing the Dubai Government’s vision for the future of government operations. This vision is embodied in the design of Dubai’s annual plan to accelerate the adoption and application of AI technologies.
In a post on the social media platform X, Sheikh Hamdan stated, “Today, we approved the appointment of 22 Chief AI Officers in the Dubai Government as part of a future-oriented vision focused on leveraging AI to develop government operations. This move aims to support Dubai’s experience in this field and take it to new heights, establishing its global leadership in innovative solutions based on advanced technology and future tools.”
He added, “The appointment of AI executives in the Dubai Government is the first step in our journey to realize our vision for the future of government work, which is reflected in the design of Dubai’s annual plan to expedite the adoption of AI applications. We expect them to intensify efforts and work diligently to transform this vision into reality, impacting government work and society.”
Sheikh Hamdan also highlighted that accelerating the adoption of AI and developing innovative solutions based on its tools and technologies is a key component of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into a global hub for developing and adopting AI solutions and applications.
