Solve.Care launches first adoption of blockchain tech and digital currency in healthcare
Solve.Care has launched its Care.Wallet for Physician for primary care providers of Arizona Care Network (ACN). This is the first solution utilizing blockchain technology and digital currency adopted by a leading Accountable Care Organization.
Solve.Care has launched the Care.Wallet for Physician app, to display provider quality data and distribute financial rewards that ACN uses to align providers with the mission to improve population health at a lower total cost of care.
Care.Wallet for Physician serves as the system for a clinic or individual provider to view their overall performance as well as individual metrics. This empowers providers to quickly make changes to improve care. They also see the rewards they are on track to earn, based on their performance.
Care.Wallet for Physician contains Care.Cards that interact within the blockchain ecosystem of ACN. The wallets and the cards automatically sync with each other, resulting in real-time coordination of information and administration across stakeholders and create a unique user experience. Transactions in the network occur using the digital healthcare currency called Care.Coin, the first digital currency used for healthcare payments. The primary advantage of Care.Coins is instant and transparent payments across the system. Physicians receive Care.Coins into their Care.Wallet and can redeem them for USD.
Earlier this year, Solve.Care signed a multi-year contract with ACN to develop a solution on blockchain that will reduce fraud in the healthcare industry and will drive cost efficiency and transparency into healthcare administration.
Solve.Care CEO Pradeep Goel expressed his excitement with the app launch:“This is the breakthrough implementation of blockchain in healthcare. We are improving the coordination, administration and payments of healthcare worldwide starting with the first client, Arizona Care Network. Care.Wallet is bringing transparency, simplicity, coordination and accuracy of payments to healthcare like never before. There are many more use cases coming around patient-provider coordination and payments, so stay tuned for more exciting news from Solve.Care Foundation.”
Solve.Care has signed a multi-year contract for its decentralized healthcare administration platform with Arizona Care Network (ACN), a leading accountable care organization (ACO) in the US. Together they have a vision to expand the Care.Wallet to healthcare consumers with a version that automatically synchronizes benefits information, including deductibles and co-pays, along with co-insurance and out-of-pocket expenses for ACN’s nearly 300,000 patient members. The goal is for patients to use Care.Card applications for immediate authorizations, to schedule appointments with physicians and share accurate benefits information.
