Bloccelerate and GeoBlockchain Partner to develop Blockchain tech in Georgia
GeoBlockchain facilitates the long-term development of blockchain technology in the country of Georgia and the integration of blockchain in the global community through the exploration and expansion of the innovative potential of technology. In fact, Bloccelerate will be collaborating & advising GeoBlockchain as they focus on developing Georgia’s capacity for blockchain R&D, investment in Georgian and global projects, and work with regulators to create a blockchain ecosystem.
GeoBlockchain is headed by Papuna Ugrekhelidze. Mr. Ugekhelidze, the CEO and founder of GeoBlockchain, has 20 years of experience in the Public and Private sector in line with strategic planning and leadership, project management, international relations, and Blockchain issues. From 2013 to 2018, he led the Georgian Governmental Authority — National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR), under Ministry of Justice of Georgia. During his career, Georgia has become a pioneer country, successfully implementing blockchain technology in land and business registration systems.
The simplified procedures and innovative approaches that NAPR implemented, took Georgia to the leading position of in the World Bank Doing Business Rankings. (4th place in Ease of Doing Business and 4th Place in Ease of Registering Property). Mr. Ugrekhelidze was in charge of nationwide initiatives and projects, including the State Project of Land Registration, development of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI), creation of the unified addressing system, development of National Navigation System. Under his guidance, several new initiatives and reforms have been developed and implemented. Some of these successes include a registry of Municipalities, registry of Economic Activities of Legal Entities, modern cloud-based IT Infrastructure has been developed (serving not only NAPR, but also other government authorities, including Chamber of Notaries, State Procurement Agency, and Enforcement Bureau).
GeoBlockchain’s mission is to establish an international investment platform for blockchain. GeoBlockchain also provides consultations on the adoption of blockchain technology in public and private organizations. Under Mr. Ugekhelidze’s leadership, and with the partnership of Bloccelerate, GeoBlockchain aspires to provide quality services that exceed expectations and spread the innovative spirit of Blockchain technology.
