Cumberland and Chronicled to launch Pharma Supply Chain using Blockchain
Cumberland announced that it has joined forces with Chronicled as a preferred systems integration partner for the San Francisco-based technology company’s MediLedger Project, an initiative that builds blockchain-powered ecosystems and supply chain solutions.
Chronicled is helping the pharmaceutical industry to launch a permissioned blockchain network based on open standards and specifications. Cumberland was selected as a preferred integration partner due to the firm’s deep expertise with the leading contract and revenue management systems for pharma manufacturers, as well as the firm’s ability to develop accelerators to support complex systems implementations.
“We look forward to bringing our team’s expertise with pharma revenue management systems to help advance MediLedger’s industry-leading blockchain technology,” said Jeff Lee, Managing Partner of Cumberland’s Life Sciences Division. “It’s exciting to be involved in helping to simplify the complexities of the pharma supply chain through the use of cutting-edge blockchain technologies.”
These initiatives represent progress toward creating a network and ecosystem where competitors and trading partners can dramatically improve the processes they use to conduct business across the industry value chain.
