Over the course of his 10 years at Chainalysis, Jonathan has led numerous functions and business units as the company has grown to have a presence in over 50 countries globally. He is regularly called upon to testify to the U.S. Congress and other government hearings on the emerging risks and opportunities in cryptocurrencies.

In 2024, Chainalysis enhanced Crypto Investigations Solution, aiding law enforcement from discovering leads to seizing assets. It also launched R&D sandbox Chainalysis Labs for tracing transactions even with obfuscation tactics like mixers.

In May, a Daubert ruling in the Bitcoin Fog mixer case verified Chainalysis’ blockchain analytics as reliable court evidence, precedence for global legal use. Chainalysis became the first blockchain provider to get FedRAMP In-Process designation and marketplace listing, reinforcing leadership in government agency compliant services. It also published first-of-its-kind data on crypto-funded disinformation campaigns/groups, showing the public sector can use blockchain to trace illicit networks.

Prior to Chainalysis, Jonathan was the CEO of Coinometrics, which provided the first dashboard of blockchain intelligence. He was also a postgraduate economist at the University of Oxford, where he researched cryptocurrencies.
