Miriam Kiwan

Miriam is a visionary executive with 25+ years of experience across Europe and the Middle East. As Vice President of Middle East & Africa at Circle, she became the first female regional leader in the global stablecoin sector, driving market expansion and regulatory breakthroughs across a highly strategic region.

In 2024, she launched Circle’s presence in the Middle East and Africa from the ground up, incorporating the company’s entity in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and spearheading its expansion into new markets. Under her leadership, Circle secured a major regulatory win with the recognition of USDC and EURC by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) — a milestone moment for digital assets in the region.

Previously, Miriam played a key role in building Abu Dhabi into a global tech and Web3 hub during her time at ADGM. She collaborated closely with governments, investors, accelerators, and founders to drive growth in digital assets, blockchain, and frontier technologies.

She also serves as a board member and advisor to select companies and early-stage funds in digital assets, blockchain, and DeFi.
