Saqr Ereiqat

Saqr is the Secretary General of the Dubai Digital Asset Association, driving the growth of the digital asset ecosystem.

With over 20 years of experience in technology and innovation, he has a proven track record in blockchain, fintech, and govtech across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.

Saqr is a co-founder of multiple initiatives, including Arte.community, The Green Block, Crypto Oasis Ventures, and Riddermark.

During his 13-year tenure at IBM, Saqr led public sector blockchain projects across 23 countries, helping define Dubai’s government blockchain strategy and working with clients like DHL, Shell, Airtel, and the UAE Prime Minister’s Office. He also established the National Health Lab for Emerging Technology for the Saudi Arabian Government, driving innovation in healthcare.

Most recently, Saqr contributed to Pakistan’s Digital Nation agenda and serves on the advisory board of the Global Innovation Institute. He mentors startups through DIFC, Arab Youth Center, and the Founder Institute, and supports blockchain innovation as a Blockchain Aficionado for the Blockchain Founders Fund.
