From February 15-17, 2019, individuals from around the globe will unite in the Mile High City to build blockchain-based solutions for real-world issues like voter fraud, sovereign identity, tokenizing real estate, supply chain management, IOT, sharing energy, and even blood donation testing and tracking
Applications are now open for the world’s largest Ethereum hackathon, Colorado’s ETHDenver #BUIDLATHON and Community Gathering. The event will return to Denver’s Sports Castle February 15-17, 2019. Applications initiated for the 2019 event on ETHDenver’s website and a video introduction to the event has been uploaded.
Leading up to the event, #BUIDL Week Colorado Feb 11-14, will be open to the public, featuring demonstrations, speakers, panels, and workshops focused on empowering and educating the state’s growing blockchain community. The actual #BUIDLATHON, where hacking (or “buidling” as industry insiders call it) will take place, starts on Friday, February 15 and continue for 36 hours until judging takes place on Sunday, February 17. ETHDenver will be followed by a retreat in the Rocky Mountains from February 18-20.

The #BUIDLATHON will feature educational opportunities, networking events, an art auction, panels and fireside chats, immersive art installations, technology demonstrations, futurism discussions and more. Industry experts will weigh in on topics like decentralization, privacy, identity, non-fungible tokens, scaling, governance, diversity, and arts and culture in blockchain. Some of the individuals already announced for ETHDenver’s keynote addresses and hackathon judging include Andreas M. Antonopoulos, prolific public speaker and author of Mastering Ethereum, Joseph Lubin of ConsenSys, Ryan Selkis of Messari, and Erik Voorhees of Shapeshift.
ETHDenver is a 100% community supported event, and is free to all those who attend and #BUIDL. However, applications are required for those requesting admission. Some of the key sponsors making the 2019 event possible include Shapeshift, ConsenSys, KeepKey, Opolis, Status, POA Network, The National Cyber Security Center and The Graph.
